Blog Your New Year’s Resolutions for Accountability

Start a new blog this year for resolution accountabilityWe’ve been talking about how to start your own blog and in an upcoming article I’m going to give you some specific details on how you can make some money through your blog.

However, there are things in life that are more important than money. If that comes as a shock to you, well, read on, maybe you’ll get the idea.

Here’s my question for today: Did you make any New Year’s resolutions?

Many of us did, like “I’ll start dieting right after the New Year” or “I’m going to follow through on that business idea” of “I’m really going start saving money.”

If you made any resolutions, how about sharing your progress, or regress—it’s a noun, I looked it up—in a blog?

Get all of your friends and family members to subscribe to your blog. Encourage them to make comments and hold you accountable to your New Year’s resolutions. You might find that you’re far more likely to follow through if you have to be public about all your failures and well as your successes.

Your blog can become that special place where you have a regular heart-to-heart talk with all the people who are important in your life. Not only will your chances of success meeting your resolutions be increased, you’ll be deepening people’s understanding of who you are and what’s important to you.

And, if you’re honest about your failures, your friends will be there to pick you up and get you moving in the right direction again.

If your resolutions reflect your dreams, and they should, then successfully following through on your resolutions will lead you to fulfilling your dreams.

Your new blog can help you grow your relationships with the people who are important in your life and push you along the path that leads to dreams fulfilled.

More important than money, right?
